MODELS: Steam/Steamapps/YOUREMAIL/Counterstrike/cstrike/models/player/PLAYERNAME ie. sas
(you may need to create the model folder.)
(you may need to create the player folder.)
(you may need to create the playername folder.)
weapon models and world models like chicken.mdl go in to models folder.
each player goes in to his player name folder in models/player
All models still work for cs, but unless you want to see dead crucified ppl sticking out of the ground dont use playermodels.
If you are unhappy with any customizations just delete them. the cached steam files are still there with all the cs defaults.
SOUNDS: Steam/Steamapps/YOUREMAIL/Counterstrike/cstrike/sounds
(you may need to create the sounds folder.)
(you may need to create the ambience, talk, weapons.etc folders)
SPRITES Steam/Steamapps/YOUREMAIL/Counterstrike/cstrike/sprites
(you may need to create the sprites folder.)
-there is a problem with steam and sprites. the weapon .txt files are all cached so it is harder to change the crosshairs.-
**It is possibly to take your old cstrike directory and place its models/sprites/sounds in to the steam based directory and play with all of your old models.**
Any othercustom things: The Dlls for translucent/transparent models go into Steam/Steamapps/YOUREMAIL/Counterstrike/cstrike
also any custom decal.wads (bulletholes/bloods) and pldecal.wad (custom spraypaints) go in to the cstrike directory.
